Hello Heart: A Romantic Script Font for Modern Brand Campaigns

Choosing the Right Typeface for a Product Launch Graphic

I was designing a soft-launch campaign for a new line of organic skincare products. The visuals needed to feel warm, personal, and inviting. I opened my design tool, ready to lock in the typography. That’s when I reached for Hello Heart—a script font I’d recently added to my kit. It’s described as romantic, cute, and beautiful, and I wanted to see if it could bring that handwritten charm to a digital campaign without sacrificing clarity or brand recognition.

As I typed out the headline—“Pure Glow, Naturally Yours”—I immediately noticed how fluid and expressive Hello Heart felt. The ligatures connected smoothly, and the swashes gave the text a luxurious, almost editorial quality. It wasn’t just legible; it felt intentional. I could already picture it on Instagram carousels, YouTube thumbnails, and Pinterest pins.

How Hello Heart Performs Across Digital Campaign Assets

What sets Hello Heart apart from other script fonts is its PUA encoding, which makes all the alternate characters and stylistic swashes accessible without needing special software. That’s a big win when you’re building branded templates or designing a content series that needs consistent typographic flair.

In my campaign, I used Hello Heart for the main headlines across multiple formats:

In every format, Hello Heart held its own. The font’s soft curves and open spacing made it ideal for overlaying on light, airy background images. It didn’t get lost in mobile previews, and even in fast-scrolling feeds, the text caught the eye without feeling overwhelming.

Readability and Design Considerations for Real Campaigns

While Hello Heart is undeniably charming, it’s best used in short bursts. I found it worked beautifully as a display font—perfect for headlines, callouts, and logo-style text. But for longer body copy or dense information blocks, it quickly became impractical.

For example, I tried using it in a webinar registration banner. The main title “Discover Your Glow” looked stunning in Hello Heart, but the supporting text “Join our free skincare session on Tuesday at 6 PM” was harder to read at smaller sizes. I swapped the body text to a clean sans serif, which improved readability and visual hierarchy.

When using Hello Heart on dark backgrounds, I increased the font weight slightly and added a subtle stroke to ensure contrast. On light backgrounds, especially with soft pastel tones, the font’s natural elegance really shined.

When Hello Heart Isn’t the Right Fit

There were a few moments in the campaign where Hello Heart didn’t quite work. For example, in a digital ad set targeting a more mature audience with clinical skincare benefits, the font felt out of place. It leaned too heavily into the “cute” aesthetic, which didn’t align with the tone of the messaging.

Similarly, in a product comparison chart and a downloadable PDF guide, the font was too decorative and made the information harder to digest. In those cases, I used a more neutral script or a modern serif font instead.

It’s also worth noting that Hello Heart isn’t ideal for:

Font Pairing and Practical Design Tips

One of the most strategic uses of Hello Heart in my campaign was in font pairing. I often combined it with a clean sans serif like Montserrat or Lato for subheadings and body copy. This created a strong visual contrast while keeping the overall design cohesive.

For a branded Instagram content series, I used Hello Heart for the main quote text and paired it with a handwritten-style serif for attribution lines. It gave the content a curated, editorial feel without looking cluttered.

When downloading Hello Heart, I made sure to check:

These checks helped me avoid last-minute design hiccups and ensured the font could be used confidently across both static and animated campaign assets.
